Religious Education
Religious Education is offered to the children of the school in accordance with the Christian Doctrine and teaching of the Church in Wales. It forms an important of school life and is reflected in the ethos and values of the school.
“Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church at parish and diocesan level. The school aims to serve its community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers all its pupils”
Acts of worship are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. This is an important part of the day when children and staff come together as a “family” it also helps create a sense of belonging. Every Wednesday worship takes place in individual classrooms. For the major Christian festivals e.g Harvest, Easter and Christmas, worship is held in St Cadoc’s Church. Children are active participants in daily acts of Collective Worship.
