Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting our school’s website.

Charles Williams Church in Wales Primary is a voluntary aided school at the heart of the historic town of Caerleon.  The school was established in 1724 thanks to a bequest made by its namesake, Charles Williams, a former resident of Caerleon.  His legacy continues to benefit the school today thanks to the Charles Williams Charitable Trust.   In accordance with the school’s trust deed, the school has strong links with

St Cadoc’s Church and works closely with the Diocese of Monmouth.

Currently, there are just over 500 children on roll and we are pleased to welcome children from Caerleon, outlying villages and other areas of Newport.

Our children’s well-being is at the heart of all that we do, we strive to ensure that all of our children are happy and confident and are able to reach their learning potential, to be the best version of themselves and to grow to become responsible, reflective citizens of Wales and the world.

It is my privilege and pleasure to lead our hard-working, caring and compassionate team and I look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to visit us or if you require any further information.
